Fastpitch Coordinator (2023)
Softball Director/President (2023)
There is a competitive element to this season. However, Fall Ball has a primary focus on player development, expansion of position exposure and working on skill positions. In addition, the focus is on teamwork, cooperation, and respecting everybody involved. We realize that each player has a unique skill set and needs as a player. The program works to ensure that the player's potential is maximized as much as possible. Each player will be treated as a valuable asset to the team, respected, and treated fairly.
Registration opens in early July. With a shortened season, this is a great opportunity for new players to get started in the Fastpitch program.
Fall age levels are determined by the player's age as of January 1st of the next year. This means some girls will age up in the fall from their summer teams.
There are no tryouts for fall ball. Players may request one friend to play with for Fall Ball and these requests should be mutual. We do our best to honor these requests.
During the fall season, some girls will age up to a new level (i.e. 10U to 12U). We use positional need, past player experience, player evaluations, and feedback from coaches to fill in gaps left by older girls aging up. For this reason, there are no guarantees that a player will remain with their summer season teammates. However, we will do our best to keep players together that mutually request each other.
EFP will provide a jersey. Players will provide light gray pants, royal blue socks and belt.
The practice schedule is determined by the head coach. Players should expect a couple practices per week.
The season begins in mid August with practices, and ends in late September with the Fall State Tournament. All teams play in the state tournament.
Teams play double header games each Saturday (8-10U) and Sunday (12-18U) against different opponents. Game times will start at 12:00 pm, 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm, or 4:30 pm. Weekly game schedules are posted each Wednesday for Saturday & Sunday games and are based on scores posted from the prior week.
State tournament games are played on Saturday for 8U-10U age levels and Sunday for 12U-18U age levels.
This is still a traveling program so players will travel outside of Eagan for games.
