2018 Nov/Dec Dome Clinic

Dust off those gloves! We are offering 6 weeks of off season training at the Rosemount Dome. These sessions will focus on skills that are specific for each age group.

8U will focus on fundamentals of throwing, fielding, hitting and overall softball knowledge.

10/12U will build on fundamentals to increase understanding of softball, adding more technical work around defensive and offensive skills.

14/16U will focus on increased technical training, more detailed around conditioning, coordination and defensive/offensive skills.

This is a great opportunity to build and develop softball skills to get ready for spring tryouts and the 2019 spring/summer season. Come to see other players, EFP coaching staff, play some softball and have some fun!

One change this year is that our EFP Dome shirts will now be required to wear at each session. All players should wear their softball pants and their Dome training shirt. Your shirt size will be asked during registration.

Registration is coming soon!

EFP September Pitching Clinic

Is your daughter a beginning pitcher looking to learn and build some fundamental skills?  If so, join us for this 4-week pitching clinic.

We will work on things like ball grip, spin, formation and release point.  This clinic is a great opportunity if your daughter has an interest in pitching going into the next spring season.

You must sign up for all four sessions, as each session will build on each other and repetition is key.  Please join your daughter as a catcher as we will not be providing catchers.  This is also a great opportunity to hear from an instructor, all the things you can work on at home.

Cost is $50 for four sessions.

Sign Up at:

Please bring a check to the first clinic made out to EFP.

Please arrive ready to go for your slotted time as we have back to back sessions.

If you see that all sessions are full and would like to attend, please contact Carissa.

If you have questions, please contact our Player and Development Coach, Carissa Hancock at cbhancock7@gmail.com.

Eagan Summer 2019 Community Softball (14s/16s)

Eagan Fastpitch is excited to offer opportunities for 16U (2002-2003 birth dates) and 14U (2004-2005 birth dates) teams for the summer of 2019. The purpose of community teams at 14U/16U is to provide all Eagan players a place to continue their softball careers. These teams will be formed as follows to conform to the rules of MN/USA softball, as well as Eagan Fastpitch past practices. Girls are to register at the appropriate age level based on birthdate.

Team formation will occur once registration is complete. EFP asks the families to register prior to Sept. 1.  No monies are being collected at this time.

16U

  • All Eagan 16U players or players that have previously played for an Eagan team that register will have a spot on the 16U team. The team cap is 11 or 12 players.
  • If 11 players do not register at 16U, an open tryout will be advertised and held to complete that team with other 16U players. Every effort will be made to fill this team with other 16U players.
  • Coach interviews will be done as needed.

14U

  • All Eagan 14U players that register will have an opportunity to tryout for a spot on the 14U team. The team cap is 11 or 12 players. If we do not get enough Eagan players registered, we will hold a tryout to fill any remaining roster spots by using players from associations that have extra players.
  • Coach interviews will be held as needed.
  • We will do our very best to ensure that all interested players get to play next spring.

Schedules may vary for the 14U and 16U teams, as will level of play depending on outcome of rosters. Eagan community teams will compete in Tri-County during the summer of 2019. There will be available training on Fridays at the Rosemount Dome in November through February. Additional training or winter tournaments is a possibility. Those will be decided by teams and coaches when rosters are announced and additional costs will be the responsible of families.

In addition to league play, qualifiers and the state tournament, Eagan community teams can play up to three tournaments, one of which should be Down n' Dirty on Father's Day Weekend.

There is no out-of-state travel expected. Tournaments selected will be chosen by teams and coaches. NAFA Nationals or MOA Championships is an option at end of season with a qualified berth.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

ALL parents from the MN Stars, 8U Travel, 10U League Only and all Tournament Travel teams are required to volunteer about 9 hrs (2 Dib shifts per player) at either the Eagan Down 'N Dirty Tournament in June or the Northern National Tournament that we host in July.  This is our only form of fundraising for the entire program.

The revenue from these tournaments helps to keep our program costs down. These funds help pay for items such as: fields, umpires, team equipment, player insurance, tournament entries & gate fees, player clinics, and winter dome time that all EFP players can utilize.

A volunteer deposit of $250 is collected at tryouts. The check will only be cashed if your volunteer hours are not fulfilled by the end of the season.  You can choose to forfeit this deposit in lieu of working your volunteer hours.

This applies to all traveling members of our Spring/Summer Leagues.
