Fall Ball Team Creation
For 8U, 10U and 12U, there will be no tryouts for fall ball. However, recognizing that team cohesiveness is important in developing players and teams, we will do our best to keep players from the spring season together.
We recognize that during the fall season, many girls will ‘age up’ to a new level (i.e. 10U to 12U). We will use position need, past player experience, player evaluations, and feedback from coaches to fill in gaps left from older girls moving up. This means that there are no guarantees that a player will remain with their spring season team.
This is a change from past practices as we continue to evaluate how we maximize each player’s potential and building competitive teams for the spring season.
Registration opens late June for a few short weeks.
This is a great time for new players to get started in the EFP program with our shortened 6-7 week season. Tryouts are held only for a 12U-Select team at this level if a team is formed. This does not happen every season.
The Fall Ball season begins early-mid August with practices and ends late September with Fall Qualifiers and the Fall State Tournament. All teams will play in both the Qualifiers and the State tournament. The Fall season focuses on the introduction of the sport to new players, the development of all players, and the experience gained by playing fastpitch.
All teams play double header games on Sundays against different opponents in weeks 1, 2 and 3. Game times are at either 12:00pm & 1:30pm or 3:00pm & 4:30pm. There are few exceptions to this schedule.
** 8U-10U-12U teams play on Saturday for weeks 4 & 5.
Fees 10U -14U: $120
2018 Age Levels
We anticipate having 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U teams. The Fall Ball age group in which girls play is based on their age at 12/31 of the current year (i.e. some girls age up in Fall from Spring/Summer teams)
*** Girls that are born in 2010 may play 8U if the parents and coach feel she is best served at the younger age group. Either the girl is coming right from in-house or has only played 1 year of Traveling.
This is still a traveling program so players will travel outside of District 196 for games. Travel distances depend on where other teams are based.

Practice schedule will be determined by the head coach, and will be 1-3 times per week.
All League games are double headers and are scheduled for the last weeks in August prior to Labor Day weekend and the Sunday following Labor Day weekend. Weekly game schedules are posted each Wednesday for Sunday games and are based on scores posted from the prior week.
