Equipment
Fastpitch Equipment
All players will need the following:
- Fastpitch Glove (ask your coach on sizing if not sure)
- Defense Fielder's Mask (Rip-It brand is a good example)
- Royal Blue Batting Helmet with face mask & chin strap
- Softball cleats - molded, not metal (no soccer cleats)
- Sliding shorts - padded
- Slider (1) - a padded sleeve worn over the sliding knee while learning to slide properly (optional)
Royal Blue is the required helmet color for all Eagan teams.
Bats are provided for each team. If you want to purchase a bat for your daughter, please speak to a coach first so that you buy the correct length and weight.
Fielders/Defense Masks are REQUIRED for all infield positions. All current fastpitch players wear them. Most coaches will require fielders mask for ALL infield positions. Safety comes first!
Required equipment will be discussed at your first meeting with your team. Do not rush out to buy equipment if you are not sure of your team requirements. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
